About

Always growing older - never growing up.

Eclectic random geekery: Star Wars, Doctor Who, Sci-Fi, science, photography, LEGO, and stupid, stupid things.

This is my personal opinion / reblogging blog. If you're after my personal photos or awful photoshop creations, the links are below.

LIKE YOU CARE...

As they say in the classics "I'm too old for this shit".

That said, I live in sunny Brisbane (Australia), forging a career in advertising / marketing whilst enjoying life as it comes.

I take photos on my iPhone, listen to (a lot of) music on my iPhone, and like Star Wars. So yes, I'm a geek.

That's about it.

Party on!

Do you wanna know just how much money I make?

Scary story of what a hard-working Australian musician makes when they’re doing well.

thayernick:

I wanted to take a second to break some numbers down for you. I’m doing this to be transparent. To let you know what the life of producer/DJ looks like from the financial end. People often think there’s a huge amount of money in this scene. There is, but it is very concentrated and in the hands of a very, VERY few people. The vast majority are on similar numbers to me, running on fumes most of the time to make this thing work. We do it because we LOVE THE ABSOLUTE SHIT out of writing music, playing music and sharing music.

Robot Devil.  New napkin art, 3014.

Ever dance with the (robot) devil in the pale moonlight?
I always ask that of all my prey.
I just like the sound of it.

This a is photograph taken by Matt Irwin. The photograph is of a graffiti  artwork owl smoking a cigarette. The owl used to be in a Melbourne laneway called Caledonian Lane and the artwork has always been very special to me because it was one of the first graffiti artworks that I ever saw in my life.  As you may also notice is that on Tumblr this photograph that was taken by Matt Irwin features as my avatar on the Tumblr blogging website

I went to photograph the Smoking Owl in Caledonian Lane, Melbourne, and there’s a new building there. I hope this iconic artwork was saved.

New Government. Same Show. Shaun Micallef’s still MAD AS HELL.
Back for a third season, this dose of salts for your weekly digest of news and current affairs is the cure for all that ails you; a panacea for the ills of the world and a vaccination against the general malaise and ennui brought on by existence itself. “It’s like falling into a jacuzzi at Lourdes,” said avid MAD AS HELL viewer and ABC legal intern, Sophie Frump.
Surprising, refreshing and invigorating, MAD AS HELL remains funnier than 7.30, more informative than Tractor Monkeys and over twice as fast as Q&A.
CAST:  Shaun Micallef, Francis Greenslade, Roz Hammond, Veronica Milsom, Tosh Greenslade, Emily Taheny and Stephen Hall.
