About

Always growing older - never growing up.

Eclectic random geekery: Star Wars, Doctor Who, Sci-Fi, science, photography, LEGO, and stupid, stupid things.

This is my personal opinion / reblogging blog. If you're after my personal photos or awful photoshop creations, the links are below.

(waves his hand as he smiles knowingly)...

This isn't the tumblr you're looking for.

LIKE YOU CARE...

As they say in the classics "I'm too old for this shit".

That said, I live in sunny Brisbane (Australia), forging a career in advertising / marketing whilst enjoying life as it comes.

I take photos on my iPhone, listen to (a lot of) music on my iPhone, and like Star Wars. So yes, I'm a geek.

That's about it.

Party on!

Don’t be blinded by the pain and suffering in Japan.
While the Japanese struggle to survive after the triple whammy of earthquake / tsunami / & potential nuclear power plant meltdown, the people of Libya are dying in their struggle for freedom against an insane dictator; the people of Rio de Janeiro continue to rebuild their lives after the mudslides; the people of Tunisia and Egypt rebuild their countries after deposing their dictators; many people across Eastern Australia rebuild their lives after the immense flooding; people across China struggle with their ongoing drought; people across Malaysia and Indonesia who survived the flash flooding continue to rebuild their lives. And these are just a handful of the major disasters to have occurred in 2011.
In every case: people are mourning, people are hurting, and our planet continues it’s journey around our little sun in an outer spiral arm of the Milky Way.
Let’s all do what we can to help everyone. And don’t forget, we’re all in this together.

Brave new world.

Cyclones, earthquakes, revolutions. Welcome to 2011. This will be a very interesting year decade.
How’s the censorship of all these people’s uprisings going China?

Monkey Saves Puppy from Explosion

Here is a bizarre bit of news coming out of the pipeline explosion in Nanjing, China that killed 13 people and injured 300, and not it is not the news that 4 people were arrested - it is this remarkable photo of monkey grabbing a puppy dog and running away from the explosion and fire.

While this isn’t actually true, it does make me feel warm and fuzzy. You need stuff like this in bad times :)

Huffington Post squashes the fiction out of the fact.
