About

Always growing older - never growing up.

Eclectic random geekery: Star Wars, Doctor Who, Sci-Fi, science, photography, LEGO, and stupid, stupid things.

This is my personal opinion / reblogging blog. If you're after my personal photos or awful photoshop creations, the links are below.

LIKE YOU CARE...

As they say in the classics "I'm too old for this shit".

That said, I live in sunny Brisbane (Australia), forging a career in advertising / marketing whilst enjoying life as it comes.

I take photos on my iPhone, listen to (a lot of) music on my iPhone, and like Star Wars. So yes, I'm a geek.

That's about it.

Party on!

Today is Steven Spielberg’s birthday. In celebration our Trooper and Boba decided to recreate the movie poster from Spielberg’s latest film, The Adventures of TinTin! Our Trooper and Boba hopes they has done Spielberg and TinTin justice in their recreations. I would be amiss if I did not mention a similar creation by Avanaut . If you have a moment, please be sure to check it out. This photo is part of my mini series Cloned Photos. Enjoy!   Cards, Prints, iPod Covers and Laptop Skins are available @ Redbubble and Society6.

Today is Saint Nicholas Day. St. Nicholas was a former Bishop of Turkey and the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, thieves, children and students. It was his reputation for secret gift giving that has lead people to believe that St. Nicholas is the namesake for our modern day Santa Claus. Enjoy! Boba looked to his dad and asked; “will he be okay?” Being a teacher I have heard just about every question there is to ask. I think this is do to the fact that I encourage my students to ask questions; regardless of how silly or ridiculous they may seem. Today is a day for them. Today is National Ask a Stupid Question Day! Enjoy! Subscribe to 365 Days of Clones via RSS | Email | Tumblr | TwitterCards, Prints and Posters are available @ Redbubble.

Yeah, we’ll have two large big mac meals, one without pickles, a large chocolate shake, and the droids we’re looking for.

It should come as no surprise that we think action figures are awesome, but what about an action figure that has your very own face?
“Thanks to the Japan-based company Clone Factory, you can give the gift of an unsettling plastic simulacrum formed deep within the uncanny valley. Blogger Danny Choo has a post up explaining the entire process, which involves multi-angle photography, face-mapping, and custom 3D printing. The cost of your very own pint-sized doppleganger is 138,000 yen or around $1,700, but the effect of it is priceless.”
